Waterloo Region, home to over 550,000 people is known in modern day for the Blackberry and the Pi Institute, both created by Mike Lazaridis, graduate of the University of Waterloo. In addition, we have numerous software and Internet company offices and automotive manufacturing charging the economic engine.

We have the fifth largest ethnic population of all regions in Canada. To satiate the appetites of this diverse population, the culinary demands are quite high. Let us take a peek at what is really available in this beautiful, productive corner of the World.

A Confession. The Aberfoyle Mill is not in Waterloo Region. It is, however, just off the main highway on the last exit before you enter Waterloo Region, so, a very close neighbour and worth mentioning.

The Mill offers the wide range from pasta, chops, Liver and Steak through locally grown salad ingredients and fruits for their incredible desserts. Wedding events are their specialty. Some have used the Gazebo in the rear yard for their ceremony and then hold the Reception upstairs. In addition, the Mill holds a Murder Mystery Dinner during the Summer.
