After upgrading my iMac, I thought that it might be helpful to compile a list of the top ten free apps for Mac OSX. These are my favorite apps and I use most of them on a daily basis.

10) CoRD

Apple computers are awesome, but sometimes you can't avoid working with a Windows system. That's were this app really shines. CoRD is a fantastic RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) application. It allows you to save remote sessions and work on Windows systems without leaving the Mac environment. CoRD is simple, elagent, and easy to use. I use this app everyday at work!

HandBrake is a light weight video conversion tool. it's perfect for ripping DVD's and working with different video formats. I use this app to convert videos for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. HandBrake is also perfect for compressing video and making files smaller.
